The whimsical use of the charcoal to enhance the taste of the pudding also created a playful aroma. It gave it a second dimension in the layer of flavour and a mixture of savoury and sweet. By putting smoked teas into the charcoal brought the sense of fruitiness, and adding in the rosemary and lavender enhanced the flavour and gave it many more layers.
